I proudly interrupt the static hum of jetrow.com to proclaim that this site is coming back to life. Moved hosts a while ago, and never got around to transplanting the guts of the site. That seems to be complete now.
Back from holiday. Details to follow soon, though you might have noticed the banner above has changed. The picture was taken by yours truly at the Albert Memorial in Kensignton Gardens, London. While I try to get my shit together, check out Interpol doing a live set and some chatting on KCRW Music: Morning Becomes Eclectic.
...is me giving the big proverbial middle finger to the spammers of the world. I finally took action to eliminate spam from my work email, and I've never felt better. Now, I only need to find a new way to keep abreast of the latest in penis enlargement technologies and home mortgage financing.

I went to Colorado last month, and I took some pictures.
I've always though that the story behind the making of Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot seemed a bit too good to be true. Lacking the conspiratist vision that Oliver Stone possesses, I never thought much about it. Rob Mitchum over at Pitchfork Media might be onto something...Pitchfork: The Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Cover-Up.
... not particurlarly because I'm on my fourth Black Russian, but because this site sucks it good. Chad and Elliot waxing poetic about Interpol is not my idea of enetrtainment. Now, before you say, "Well, dumbass, what have YOU done for us lately," I'm going to finish my Black Russian, smoke my fourteenth cigarette, fart, and play old English Beat. You are all, as always, VERY FOOKIN' WELCOME.
For fear of going a month without posting - I figured I'd share the fact that I can't stop listening to Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights. That's it, lame as this post is, is as good as that album is.
Wilco has its own movie. For those heads that don't know Wilco you should. The movie is a documentary of the now legendary story behind the making of their latest album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. For whatever reason, I could not figure when and where this freaking movie was playing. In a sudden fit of enlightenment, I figured it out.
This is sad. Supply and demand at its worst. Though, I do think "King Bad" is a bad-ass name. The domain is available. I'm just trying to figure out what I could do with kingbad.com. I digress, check it... Drug Market Thrives By Methadone Clinics (washingtonpost.com)
Drop what you're doing and click on over to KCRW Music: Morning Becomes Eclectic to here some live in studio joints rocked by The Flaming Lips. They lead off with a wicked cover of Radiohead's "Knives Out". Now git.
Former Grant Lee Buffalo front-man, Grant Lee Phillips, is taking his solo act on the road once again. This time he's bringing along Kristin Hersh, former front-woman of Throwing Muses, and her solo act, along with John Doe, formerly of legendary punk band, who I could give a shit about, X. The tour has been dubbed the Exile Follies. While Grant's last solo album failed to impress with it's electronic flourishes, he rocks live, and still dips into the Grant Lee Buffalo back-catalog.
